Today's my big birthday bash. Mama has been dreaming of organising this party the day I was born! And when the party was over, she said "no more parties" till I'm 21!!!!! Ha ha, mama, ARE YOU SURE???!!!!!!! (She has already checked out what party stuff to buy for my next birthday during her trip to Concourse to buy stuff for this birthday!)

Part 4: 16 Apr 2007, Mon

Today I turn One, finally!!!!! I've been waiting for this day to come! Why? Because mama promised me that she'll be more lenient with the food I eat! Yeah, FEED ME!!!!!!!! (but still no peanuts and sugary stuff :( though)

Papa and mama did not take leave on my birthday. Tsk.

They said since I'm still so young, I do not understand what is birthday. Har? What do you mean I dun understand. I understand ok, I am a smart kid. Hmmph, I shall remember this for the rest of my life! (Thank you blog!)

Nevermind, I get to spend the day with my beloved 婆婆!

Anyways, mama and papa still bought me a birthday cake (my 3rd one!) and we had a small celebration at 爷爷's house.

Well folks, that's how I celebrated the 366th day of my life!!!!

Time flies when you have a baby in the house. Just 1 year ago, I was lying in the Mt Alvernia delivery suite eagerly awaiting for the birth of our precious princess. Gory details and pain apart, I couldn't take my eyes off the little bundle of joy once she was placed beside me. Thank you Papa for being my pincushion and cutting her umbilical cord (I was a bit apprehensive about that as he gets weak in the knees at the sight of blood!).



Day by day, we watch her grow, patiently waiting for her to reach each milestone in her own time. The 1st's were always so thrilling! The 1st turn, the 1st sit-up, the 1st crawl, the 1st tooth, the 1st step........ life is simply miraculous!!

My princess, the tyrant!

Baby's 1st MC! Hee hee, not that she needs one, it's for me actually! Though she caught the flu bug from me, the only sign of illness from her is the dripping nose. Other than that, you can't tell that she's ill!!!!! I spent the whole day running after her as she explores(messes) the rooms, climbs the mountains (chair, sofa, bed), reads her books etc.

Most of the time she'll crawl to her destinations. But if she feels like walking, she'll come to me, hold my hand and pulls me to the direction she wants to go. I'll then have to walk her there. If I don't move, the scoldings will come..."eh eh ya ek eek ah ba..." (read: "get your butt off the sofa mama and walk me to the room"). And if I try to steer her somewhere else, she'll sit down on the floor and start making noise again! Yes. this is my daughter, the dictator!

Let me centrally incissor you, mama!

My mama has been pretty irritating of late. She keeps prying my mouth open to see if there are anymore teeth growing. Can't we babies have our own privacy? Hmmmp! Okie, to satisfy your curiousity mama, e-i-g-h-t, I now have 8 teeth. Happy? Now, keep your fingers away from my mouth unless you want me to use them as teether again!
